# Standing Seam Metal Roof Replacement in McKinney, TX

## The Situation

Our friends at [All About Children Pediatrics](https://www.aacpediatrics.com/) had one of their buildings in [McKinney](https://concordroofingtx.com/mckinney-tx/) come through a rough North Texas storm, and the roof took a lot of damage. They called Concord Roofing & Construction for a [roof inspection](https://concordroofingtx.com/roof-inspection/) and an estimate for a [replacement](https://concordroofingtx.com/roof-replacement/). Once that was approved, we put in the work to get this beautiful building back to looking its best.

## The Scope of Work

First order of business was protecting the windows and landscaping, then tearing off the old roof.

Once that was complete and the needed roof repairs were made, the building was ready for its new roof.

Next, the underlayment went down: a synthetic felt that gives the roof an added layer of ice and water resistance beneath the metal.

Finally, we cleaned up the work area, and once the sun came back out, this building was looking great!

## The Result

Texas can have some crazy weather, and the roof is a building’s first line of defense. The old roof did take damage, but it did its job: nothing else in the building was structurally damaged.
