A dated master bath with wallpaper, carpet, and a built-in tub, remodeled with a glass shower, a curved freestanding tub, a double vanity, soothing paint, and wood-look tile floors.
A homeowner in McKinney had a master bathroom that was ready for a makeover: wallpaper on the walls, carpet on the floor, and the same fixtures that had been in place for a very long time. They brought in our friends at Jo Gifford Designs, who walked them through a new design, and when it was ready, they brought in Concord Roofing & Construction to make it happen.
First step was removing everything that needed to go: the wallpaper, carpet, tub, shower, and vanity. That was almost the entire bathroom.
Next was adjusting the plumbing for the new freestanding tub and repairing the marks the wallpaper left behind on the walls.
Tile work was done for the new shower, and then the shower was installed.
Then came the new double vanity.
With everything in place, the new flooring was installed and the walls were painted. A soothing paint color replaced the old wallpaper, and the wood-look tile flooring continues in from the bedroom for a cohesive look and a more open feel.
Finally, the freestanding tub came in last, since it sits on top of the flooring, and tied the whole bathroom together. Its softer, curved shape complements the style of the faucet.
A beautiful, modern bathroom takes the place of what was there before, and the homeowner was thrilled to see the completed look.
