A Richardson kitchen updated with new cabinets, countertops, backsplash, and lighting while keeping its familiar peninsula layout, plus a ceiling drop-down removed and an HVAC duct moved.
A homeowner in Richardson loved the layout of their kitchen but wanted to update the look. They brought in Jo Gifford Designs, who measured and mapped everything out in software, then once the project was approved, gave us a call to build it up in hardware.
The flooring and most of the appliances were staying the same, so we had to make sure they were well taken care of while removing everything that needed to go. Countertops, cabinets, backsplash, all gone.
Once the work area was clear, we got to the structural changes: removing the drop-down from the ceiling, adding lighting, and even moving an HVAC duct that was causing a draft in the kitchen.
With the structural changes complete, the new cabinets and countertops were installed, complete with a new tile backsplash.
Appliances were reinstalled or replaced, and this fresh new look was completed.
Keeping the same layout with the peninsula kept the kitchen familiar, but the new cabinets, lighting, and colors make the entire room feel new and modern at the same time.
