A two-story home battered by a North Texas hailstorm, torn off to the decking and re-roofed with impact-resistant shingles, including a small eave over the bay window.
A two-story home in Wylie had taken quite a beating during a North Texas hailstorm. Once everything settled down, the homeowner reached out to Concord Roofing & Construction for a roof inspection, and that inspection led to our recommendation that the roof be replaced. Once the approval was given, we were off to work.
First order of business was to tear off the old roof and underlayment all the way down to the decking, making sure to protect the landscaping and windows below. With the old roof off, we inspected the decking for any hidden issues that couldn’t be seen while the roof was still on.
Once that checked out, we put down new underlayment.
Then the shingles went on. This homeowner decided to upgrade to impact-resistant shingles, a move we always recommend when possible, especially with the crazy weather DFW is known for.
A small eave needed some love too, and we made sure it got new shingles to match the main roof.
Once finished, the contrast between the dark shingles and the brick walls of the home was really eye-catching, exactly what the homeowner asked for. And with upgraded shingles, this home is even better protected against the next storm.
